A Message From The Executive Elf
Dear Good People,
Thank you for inviting Santa to be part of your Festive Season. I'm Elfin, the Executive Elf, and I've prepared this INFO sheet for your, well, uh, Info. These are "elf-full" tips to elf you make Santa's visit more enjoyable for you and your guests. Should you have any questions, you may call me at any time at 391-3283. Well let's get started.
What you can expect?
You will be getting a full service Santa who adlibs the conversation as needed. He's heard it all, and can answer most any questions your children may have. Depending on the age group, Santa will even attempt a song or two.
Santa has a real beard and snowy white hair. His outfit is a professional North Pole Velvet suit. He'll bring candy canes for his friends but is cautious when giving them to small children who lack experience in eating them.
He will pose for pictures and do his best to make sure you capture the memory on film. For smaller, hesitantly fearful children, he recommends that parents don't force the child on Santa. Instead, let Santa guide you through some of the many tricks he has for handling such tikes.
If grab bags or presents are to be passed out, an assistant would be helpful to: pass the gift, whisper the name, identify the child, and help the child on and off Santa's lap. The assistant should also be on hand to help if a small child (infant) will be posing for pictures. This just ensures the safety of the infant.
Santa will also require a sturdy chair. Arms are not necessary but if present the chair should be large for better control of sitting visitors. Couches, overstuffed chairs and Lazyboy/recliners are not the best chairs to use as they are for comfort and not suited for lap sitting and picture taking. A sturdy dining table chair is just fine. (A fan directed at his chair is not necessary, but would keep him cool during his visit.)
There is no age or weight limit for Santa. Everyone is welcome. NO ONE IS TOO BIG! Santa likes to have fun and sometimes sits on some people's laps too!
Prior to Santa's visit/appearance, he will call you to see if everything is prepared. (He's a showoff who likes to make a grand entrance. Just humor him, tee hee.) You should do your best to have everyone inside so no one sees the car he rented while we work on the Sleigh! You may build up the expectations and sing a song, whatever, but he'll require a cue to make the entrance. An escort to meet him outside is always helpful as well.
When Santa makes his exit, Please keep every one inside until Santa makes his getaway! DO NOT ALLOW the kids to run to the door and wave goodbye as he needs to remove his hat, coat, and gloves, get in the car and leave to visit more friends. If the event is held outdoors, please restrain the children from gathering near the car, for their safety. A cool drink is appreciated at this point but again not necessary.
Well, that's about it. You will have very little to think about while Santa is there, so I suggest YOU sit back and enjoy the show too. Again you may call me at any time at 391-3283 should you need more info.
May I also recommend Confetti Party Services! This is an awesome lady who provides just the right touch for all occasion parties with children. Her repertoire includes: Balloon Artist, Shutterbugs" Party Event Pictures, (printed on site), "Confetti the Clown" Appearances, Face Painting, Santa's Elf, Mrs. Claus and Story Telling. Send me email, and I'll have her contact you. She and Santa have worked together as a team at Sam Choy's although she is entirely an independent service provider.
Thank you and Aloha . . . Enjoy your party!
Elfin
